Day 18 – London to Paris
Finally met up with Erin in London after our side trips. The plan was to meet at St. Pancras Int’l and head straight to Paris on the Eurostar but I got there first where I learned this happened. So Erin stayed at her hotel in Mayfair where the delayed reunion was joyous but also action packed as she worked on the new hotel reservation in London where we’d stay the night and re-book the Jules Verne reservation for our lunch in the Eiffel Tower while I submitted for our Eurostar refund and booked and Easy Jet for the following night.
The coup was Jules Verne which books up 6 months in advance so getting a table on two days notice was a great stroke of finesse and kindness by Lefka who made it happen for us. These photos will be on the next post.
For now, here’s our view from our room in London and a few things we squeezed into the 24hrs if it was even that. I’m glad I got to see a bit of London anyway which was not in the plan for me at all and I’d never been.
